My family and I just got to our cottage in Carlsbad where we will be staying for the next week. I spent the past two days Kayaking the canals of Naples Island, boating along the coast line, eating jambalaya while listening to Zydeco, and line dancing with half of the black folk in Long Beach. Now I’ve started the Southernmost part of the trip with a morning run alongside dolphins and pelicans, all while smelling the sea that I’ve missed so incredibly much.
Maybe I am just a California Girl at heart…
